The Matrix, science fiction, and futuristic film for the time were directed by the Wachowski sisters. It first appeared in theaters in 1999. The film, which featured a hacker named Neo (Keanu Reeves), plunges into an alternate reality, a parallel world full of struggles and situations unknown to most people.
