A great pair of sunglasses can instantly elevate your appearance, even if you only wear jeans and a T-shirt. The trick, of course, is knowing which pair is right for you.
As the sunny part of the year approaches, it’s time to choose your most important summer accessory – a pair of fancy sunglasses!
We decided to approach this question from an aesthetic point of view and discovered how to select sunglasses that match the shape of your face and help create a harmonious and attractive image.
How To Choose Sunglasses
Face Type: Circular
Type Of Sunglasses: Aviator style, or any type with a rectangular frame that highlights the shape of your face (such as a Wayfarer style).
Face Type: Oval
Type Of Sunglasses: Any type, but it’s recommended that the glasses should be at least as wide as the widest part of your face.
Face Type: Square
Type Of Sunglasses: Use oval glasses with a slightly elongated frame. Avoid using rectangular frames with sharp edges; they’re likely to unnecessarily exaggerate the rectangular look of your face.
Face Type: Rectangular
Type Of Sunglasses: Use oval frames to soften and balance the sharp edges and straight lines that are dominant on your face. Choose a wide frame with a height that is greater than its width.
Face Type: Heart-shaped
Type Of Sunglasses: Select a square frame; it will work best to even out the proportions of your face. Avoid raindrop-shaped frames and brow liners.
Face Type: Rhomboid
Type Of Sunglasses: Any type where the lens’ height is greater than its width. Steer clear of round and rectangular frames because they won’t go well with your face shape.
Face Type: Triangular
Type Of Sunglasses: Use glasses with heavy, raindrop-shaped frames to balance the shape of your face. You can also choose rectangular ones with sharp edges.
